My partner, Valentina, and I often marvel at the support extended to us as clients by the employees at Staging & Design Network. It goes beyond competence and efficiency, and it's not just one or two great staffers. It's a pervasive "we'll go to the ends of the earth for you" culture that informs the day to day operations of
this unique company.
A recent experience surpassed even our expectations of "going to the ends of the earth!" We recently worked with Tricia and Carri on a design project furnishing the Washington Athletic Club's lobby for a national conference. After many hours selecting brand new chairs, sofas, and coffee tables for the event, and exploring the inventory of numerous vendors, we had SDN place our order with a vendor in California.
In the eleventh hour, Tricia learned from the vendor that the furniture would not be delivered in time for the event. Undaunted, she immediately went into recovery mode. Every option was on the table, including enlisting her husband in a road trip with her to California, to drive the furniture back to the Everett office in a rental truck. (Not sure this was their idea of seeing the world together!)
That option did not transpire, as two staff members, Victor and Antonio, agreed to drop everything to drive the company truck to California, in order to pick up the furniture and deliver it in time. Meanwhile, Valentina and I , after working for months on the project with our clients at the WAC, were blissfully in the dark about the vendor's failure to deliver the order on time. We were spared the anxiety shouldered by the SDN team. Only when the issue was resolved, and the truck was making its way North, were we apprised of the lengths that Tricia and her staff were going to on our behalf.
To be sure, this is a dramatic example of the spirit which drives SDN, but numerous others take place on a daily basis. With this, we want to thank all the employees at SDN, including Robbi in orders, Jaymie in accounting, Adal in delivery, and the movers, (too numerous to mention everyone here by name). You consistently perform your jobs with grace, even (and perhaps especially) under pressure. You inspire us, and we appreciate you!
I loved my experience with SDN! I am an event producer from LA and was asked to create a high level activation for ReachNow within the Upstream Music Festival. I looked everywhere for VIP lounge options with a different feel then the standard event furniture...really hard to find cool furniture in Seattle...until now! SDN saved me by agreeing to rent their beautiful pieces for my event. The items they didn't have, they helped me by purchasing themselves for me to have as a first rental and few pieces I purchased. Those pieces I bought are now in the rental pool. Such a great feeling that the items purchased are not going to waste. The whole business model is super clever! Congrats Tricia! The whole crew was extremely helpful, from sales, finance and logistics. Wish you all the success and can't wait to use you again in our next Seattle event.
SDN provides a great service for stagers, designers. The warehouse has a great collection beyond the traditional furniture store. The staff is responsive to the fast paced world of staging. The delivery and pick up crew are pros and make the process of staging a home easier.
